Christmas and New Year 2025 OPENING AND DELIVERY TIMES

All EHD warehouses and offices will be closed from 1.00pm on Wednesday 24th December and will re-open from Monday 29th to Wednesday 31st December, from 8am - 3pm (2pm on 31st), for processing.

COLLECTIONS 

There will be no collections from any of our warehouses on Monday 29thDecember, unless an order is placed by usual cut-off on Tuesday 23rd.

Collection orders placed by 12 noon on Monday 29th December can be collected on Tuesday 30th December, but only from the warehouse where the stock is held or from another warehouse on Wednesday 31st December. 

Collection orders placed by 10:00am on Tuesday 30th December can be collected on Wednesday 31st December from the warehouse where the stock is held or from Frimley warehouse, if this is what you usually do. As usual, please specify which warehouse you wish to collect from and who will be collecting.

Please instruct your couriers to come in to collect by 2:00pm on these two days, although they may not be collecting or delivering at all. You will need to confirm with your own courier as to their anticipated working days.

DELIVERIES OUT

LONDON

For deliveries into London before Christmas, the deadline for receipt of orders is 12 noon on Monday 22nd December. These will be delivered on Tuesday 23rd.

We will be offering a limited service into London on Wednesday 24th December, for emergency orders, placed by 12.00 noon on Tuesday 23rd. Please note this is limited and cannot be guaranteed.

Orders required for delivery on Wednesday 31st December can be placed all day on Monday 29th and must be placed by 10.00am on Tuesday 30th. Please specify that delivery is required on the Wednesday, otherwise, it may be scheduled for Friday 2nd January 2026.

The deadline for orders to be delivered on Friday 2nd January will be 11am on Wednesday 31st December. 

The 31st will be the only delivery day into London, between Christmas and the New Year, up to 2rd January.

All warehouses will then be closed on Thursday January 1st and will reopen on Friday January 2nd 2026, for a normal full day in the office.

UK PALLETS

For pallet deliveries across the rest of the UK, the deadline for receipt of orders is 12.00 noon on Friday 19th December. These will be delivered on Tuesday 23rd. Orders can be placed on Monday 22nd, for delivery on Tuesday 23rd but these will be charged as a next day service delivery and cannot be guaranteed. If the delivery requires a book-in, the deadline is Thursday 18th.

The pallet network depots are mostly closed between Christmas and New Year so there will be no deliveries made during these three days. 

Orders for delivery on Friday 2nd January must be placed by 12:00 noon on Monday 22nd December.

Orders for delivery on Monday 5th January must be placed by 12:00 noon on Tuesday 23rd December.

Any orders received after these deadlines cannot be guaranteed for delivery before Christmas.

UK CASES

Orders for EHD to arrange with case couriers, for delivery outside of London, before Christmas, must be placed by 12:00 noon on Monday 22nd December.

Not all couriers are working normal hours in-between Christmas and New Year. If you do have an order for EHD to arrange, please place it by 12:00 noon on Monday 29thor Tuesday 30th and we will do our best to have the courier collect and deliver next day.

However, these deliveries are not guaranteed before Christmas or New Year.

Please be aware that the outside couriers we use have a huge increase in workload during the weeks leading up to Christmas. Therefore, next day / 48 hour deliveries may not always be possible and we cannot guarantee them during this period. We advise you to place orders as early as possible for deliveries outside of London.

When placing your orders, please give clear instructions or requests. Also, if a delivery can be made any time over a few days, please state this on your order as this may help us in our scheduling.

EHD's own transport will also have a huge increase in workload during these weeks. Sometimes, we have to sub-contract some EHD deliveries out to one of our couriers, depending on volumes on any particular day.

With the increases in volumes over the Christmas period, these couriers are not always available. Therefore, EHD reserve the right to deliver some orders on 48 hours, rather than 24.

However, we hope that this will not be necessary and will do our best, as always, to complete London deliveries on the next day service.

As you are aware, we do not offer or guarantee timed deliveries into London throughout the year but if a time window is requested, we do our best to schedule around it. With the increased levels of activity, this will be even more difficult to achieve during these weeks, so please be aware of this as well.

Whilst we will endeavor to continue our policy to help our customers as best we can, please help us by ordering as early and clearly as possible during this very busy period for us all.
