CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR 2024/2025 OPENING AND DELIVERY TIMES

All EHD warehouses and offices will be closed from 1.00pm on Tuesday 24th December and will not re-open until Monday 30th and Tuesday 31st December, from 8am - 3pm for processing.

COLLECTIONS 

Collections can be made from each warehouse on Monday 30th December, for orders placed up to 12:00 noon on Monday 23rdand collections on Tuesday 31st for orders placed by 12:00 noon o Monday 30th.  As usual, please specify which warehouse you wish to collect from and who will be collecting.

Please instruct your couriers to come in to collect by 2:00pm on these two days, although they may not be collecting or delivering at all. You will need to confirm with your own courier as to their anticipated working days.

We will be offering a delivery service into London on Tuesday 31st December (see below). All warehouses will then be closed on Wednesday January 1st and will reopen on Thursday January 2nd, 2025 for a normal full day in the office.

Please note, there will be no London delivery service on Thursday 2nd Jan. Please place orders on the 2nd, as normal, for delivery on Friday 3rd.

DELIVERIES OUT

LONDON

For deliveries into London before Christmas, the deadline for receipt of orders is 1.00pm (Sunbury and Frimley) and 12 noon (RGHQ and Amesbury) on Friday 20th December. These will be delivered on Monday 23rd.

We will be offering a limited service into London on Tuesday 24th December, for emergency orders, placed by 12.00 noon on Monday 23rd. Please note this is limited and cannot be guaranteed.

Orders required for delivery on Tuesday 31st December must be sent through on Friday 27th or by 10.00am on Monday 30th. Please specify that delivery is required on the Tuesday, otherwise, it may be scheduled for Friday 3rd January 2025.

The 31st will be the only delivery day into London, between Christmas and the New Year, up to 3rd January.

UK PALLETS

For pallet deliveries across the rest of the UK, the deadline for receipt of orders is 12.00 noon on Thursday 19th December. These will be delivered on Monday 23rd. Orders can be placed on Friday 20th,for delivery on Monday 23rd but these will be charged as a next day service delivery and cannot be guaranteed. If the delivery requires a book-in, the deadline is Wednesday 18th.

The pallet network depots are mostly closed between Christmas and New Year so there will be no guaranteed deliveries made during these three days. However, if you do require a delivery in-between, please order by Friday 20th December and we will do our best to arrange it.

Any orders received after these deadlines cannot be guaranteed for delivery before Christmas.

UK CASES

Please be aware that the outside couriers we use have a huge increase in workload during the weeks leading up to Christmas. Therefore, next day / 48 hour deliveries may not always be possible and we cannot guarantee them during this period. We advise you to place orders as early as possible for deliveries outside of London.

When placing your orders, please give clear instructions or requests. Also, if a delivery can be made any time over a few days, please state this on your order as this may help us in our scheduling.

EHD's own transport will also have a huge increase in workload during these weeks. Sometimes, we have to sub-contract some EHD deliveries out to one of our couriers, depending on volumes on any particular day.

With the increases in volumes over the Christmas period, these couriers are not always available. Therefore, EHD reserve the right to deliver some orders on 48 hours, rather than 24.

However, we hope that this will not be necessary and will do our best, as always, to complete London deliveries on the next day service.

As you are aware, we do not offer or guarantee timed deliveries into London throughout the year but if a time window is requested, we do our best to schedule around it. With the increased levels of activity, this will be even more difficult to achieve during these weeks, so please be aware of this as well.

Whilst we will endeavour to continue our policy to help our customers as best we can, please help us by ordering as early and clearly as possible during this very busy period for us all.
